It is good her remains have been found but who killed her and her husband? I wonder if she walked into the crime happening and it was just a case of wrong place/wrong time or was the killer waiting for her to come home?

I recently came across the case of Melody Ann Jones, and there’s one thing I just can’t wrap my head around: the shotgun found on the bed. If Paul was attacked unexpectedly and there was a struggle, how did it end up partially loaded? Was he trying to arm himself and didn’t have enough time, or did something go down earlier in the evening that had him on high alert already? It seems odd, considering the intimate setting, that he would have any kind of weaponry involved unless there was some immediate threat.
Also, considering Melody’s severe vision impairment, I find it intriguing that her glasses were left behind. The fact she couldn't have gone anywhere willingly without them and would have struggled immensely makes foul play so glaringly obvious. Talk about red flags... Finding her glasses discarded like that feels deliberate, almost as if someone wanted to make it clear she didn’t leave of her own accord. I'm curious if anyone else thinks the positioning of the shotgun and the glasses signifies something deeper about the events leading to their attack? Would love to hear what others make of this.
I've always found Melody Ann Jones' case incredibly puzzling, especially when you consider the shotgun found in the house. It's like a piece of this haunting puzzle nobody can quite fit together. Paul had the shotgun—partially loaded—on the bed, yet he was attacked with a knife. Was he caught off guard, or did something happen earlier that evening that made him feel threatened enough to get the gun out but not load it fully? And who left it there? Clearly, there was some level of preparation or awareness. I keep coming back to that, trying to piece together why it was there. It's chilling to think about the fear they must have felt in those moments. Anyone else have thoughts on what it could mean?
