Has anyone else looked into the role of travel routes and the connection with Hog Key? I've always found it interesting how secluded spots like that private island make for advantageous stops in shady operations. From what I've read, Hog Key doesn't have much air traffic control, reaching it from the mainland sounds perfect for off-the-radar activities. Could this be why the Beechcraft never radioed back after takeoff? I can't help but wonder if there's more to the island’s history or who else might have been using it around the same time. Just seems like there might be a web of connections waiting to be discovered if anyone digs into who was coming and going back in late 1983. If Weaver and Sanchez were indeed involved, it's curious how others in this network haven't come forward with more details over the years. Thoughts?

Has anyone else looked into Gary Weaver's financial records before his disappearance? I found it odd that he was taking on these side jobs with boats and planes on top of his full-time work as a bulldozer operator. It just seems a bit much unless there was some financial pressure or he was making money that needed to be off the books. Considering he was on a plane linked to drug smuggling, I can't help but wonder if he got involved out of necessity or if there was another reason. It might be worth digging into any sudden financial changes leading up to December 1983. Maybe someone here has connections or access to old financial records or tax documents? It's a long shot, but any new angle could help in piecing together what happened to him.
