After reading through the details of Tina Fontaine's case, I can't help but feel deeply saddened for the family left struggling with unanswered questions. She was clearly in a vulnerable state, and yet, the support system failed to provide the protection she desperately needed. It’s mind-blowing that despite her encounters with the police and hospital visits, no measures were put in place to ensure her safety. This aspect of the story shakes me to my core; it speaks volumes about the gaps in our system when it comes to supporting at-risk youth. How did these agencies not coordinate in a way to provide a secure place for her? It feels like an enormous missed opportunity to prevent this from happening.
