I've been thinking a lot about the foster care angle in Marie's case. Growing up in and out of the system must have been incredibly tough on her, yet it seems like she really fought hard to ensure her daughters had a different experience. What's striking is that she was so close to achieving her dream of becoming a youth care worker, potentially even helping others who were going through situations similar to her own. It's absolutely devastating that her life was cut short before she could fulfill this path. I'm curious if there were any connections between her time in foster care and her later life. Maybe there were past acquaintances or circumstances that could offer some clues? The fact that it’s still an open case suggests that there are missing pieces to the puzzle that might just need the right person to bring them to light. I really hope someone reads this and thinks back on anything that seemed out of the ordinary or any detail that didn't seem important at the time but could be critical now. Marie deserved a chance to change lives for the better, and it's so sad that her own life was taken so violently. My heart goes out to her daughters and family—I can't imagine the pain of not having justice all these years. Time doesn’t lessen the loss, and they deserve answers.
