I came across Rueben "Tuffy" Grant's case while reading about cold cases in Toronto, and it struck me how this young man's life was cut short with no justice served even after all these years. It's incredibly frustrating to think that witnesses feared coming forward due to possible retaliation. It's a tragic reminder of the ripple effects violence creates within communities. What's particularly noteworthy is the role of Project Alliance. It seems like the police put a lot of effort into this investigation, but the fear of retribution in neighborhoods like Jamestown must have been overwhelming. My heart goes out to Rueben's family and friends, who are still waiting for answers and closure. I can't help but wonder if there are still people out there who know what happened to Rueben but are too scared to break their silence. If anyone is reading this and has information, I hope they find the courage to come forward. It's been more than two decades, and Rueben's family deserves to know who took him from them.
