I was reading up on Santiago Amaro's case recently, and I can't stop thinking about how community involvement sometimes makes all the difference in these investigations. It's been so many years, yet it feels like there's still hope that someone might remember a tiny detail or come forward with info they hesitated to share back then. Families like Santiago's deserve closure, and knowing they have a community that still cares and remembers is vital. I wonder if there were any community meetings or neighborhood watches in that area around the time of his murder. Often, it's at these gatherings that bits of seemingly insignificant information come to light, information that can suddenly shed new light on things. If anyone here was living in Charlotte back then or knew people in those apartment complexes, maybe we can brainstorm any useful information that could have slipped through the cracks. Hoping for peace and answers for Santiago's loved ones.
