Michael Dotzler, 58, went missing from Long Island on January 17, 2024. He was seen midafternoon on North Chestnut Street in Massapequa at about 4:30 p.m., and again around 10:40 p.m. leaving a relative’s home on Poulson Street in Wantagh. Authorities and the family believe he might have been heading toward the Point Lookout area. Michael is described as a vulnerable adult who may be confused and in need of medical attention.

He was last seen wearing a navy blue baseball cap, a dark blue bomber-style jacket, blue jeans, and black sneakers with white trim. The next day his vehicle was recovered at the East Marina in Point Lookout; his keys, wallet, and cellphone were missing and no note or other indication explained his disappearance. The Nassau County Police Department is investigating and the family continues to search and hold out hope.

If anyone saw Michael on January 17 or has information about his movements near Point Lookout, please come forward.
