It's so painful to think about how Ernesto’s family must be feeling with all these years gone by and still no justice for his tragic loss. I’ve been digging into some of the reports and something that bothers me is the location where Ernesto was found. East Durham, particularly around Dowd and Elizabeth Streets, has a reputation for being a bit rough, even back in 2008. I wonder if there’s something more specific about that intersection that could have played a role in this senseless act. Was there any known activity in that area around the time that might give us new leads or even just context about why Ernesto was there? Any locals here who remember what it was like back then? My heart goes out to those who knew and loved Ernesto. I hope sharing and discussing here can help keep the case alive in some way.
