I've been following the heartbreaking case of Rosalyn Williams, and something that's been on my mind is the role the neighborhood might have played in what happened. Sunnyside is known for having its share of issues, but it's also a place where people like Rosalyn show incredible courage and community spirit. It's truly devastating to think that a neighborhood that people call home can become so dangerous, almost overnight. I can't imagine what Rosalyn's family and friends must be going through right now. Returning to that street must be a nightmare for them, knowing that they lost someone who was just trying to help. I hope the community can come together to support them and that initiatives are put in place to make areas like Sunnyside safer. Rest in peace, Rosalyn. You deserved better, and so does everyone else living there. I'm praying that Kendrick Maurice Williams is found soon and that justice is served swiftly.
