Has anyone else noticed the weird timing and location of where the rental car was found? It's odd that it was burned out in such a secluded spot near Hawkinsville. I did a bit of digging, and it seems that the area is not really on the direct route from Miami to Georgia, which makes me wonder if they were meeting someone or trying to avoid being followed. It's almost like they were led there on purpose. I wonder if anyone knows more about the region back then—was it known for any particular sketchy activity in ‘91? Maybe it could give us a clue about why Jorge and Enrique might have ended up there. Thoughts?
Does anyone else find it strange how the rental car was found in Georgia, but there’s no trace of Jorge or Enrique? I mean, surely they’d leave behind some personal items or clues if it was just an accident or something, right? I was also wondering if anyone knows how thorough the searches were around the area where the car was found. Were there any specific items identified as missing from the car? I've read a few cases before where burned vehicles were meant to cover tracks, but I'm really curious about any evidence (or lack thereof) they found nearby. Given that Pintado was described as wearing black pants and a black shirt with blue stripes, I'm surprised nothing of the sort was found around the scene. I'm hoping someone with more insight on the investigation details can chime in.
I was just reading up on Jorge Luis Pintado’s case again and something caught my attention. Has anyone looked into the rental car company records closely? I wonder if there's anything more to find out regarding the rental history or if anyone suspicious was lurking around when they picked up the Chevy Caprice. Considering how it was found torched in Georgia, I'm thinking maybe there’s a lead there that hasn’t been fully explored. Also, with access to GPS not available back then, I’m curious if the rental company kept any logs or info on mileage or refueling stops. Maybe there's something there that doesn’t quite add up. This case has so many loose ends, and it's frustrating how some crucial details might just be sitting unnoticed in the old records.
