What a devastating situation for everyone involved, especially considering the families and friends who are left grappling with unimaginable grief. I've been thinking a lot about the Flock camera systems used to track Parker's movements up to Washington. It's amazing how far technology has come in aiding these investigations, yet still, it can't undo the heartache or prevent such tragedies from happening. But here's what I keep wondering: should there be more public awareness about these monitoring systems? Maybe if people knew more about their capabilities, it could deter potential crimes? Or perhaps it opens a whole new debate about privacy versus safety. Either way, this case makes it clear we need to have more discussions about the role technology can play—both as a preventative measure and an investigative tool—in these awful situations. My heart truly goes out to the families, especially knowing that no formal justice process will occur because of Parker's actions. It's so important now for the community to come together to support them.
