Hey everyone, I've been following Kathy Sue Miller's tragic case, and I keep thinking about the nature of those ads in the papers back then. It's terrifying how they were exploited by people with malicious intentions. The "help wanted" ad seemed like such a typical way for a young person to seek employment back then, never imagining the danger hidden within. What's chilling is the manipulation of trust and how easily it could have been anyone who answered that ad. I can't help but think about how vulnerable Kathy was at that moment—not just as a teenager excited about a job opportunity, but as someone who unknowingly fell into a predator's trap. How do we ensure that history doesn't repeat itself and that no one else's enthusiasm for starting a new chapter in their life is taken advantage of in such a horrifying way? It's so important that we learn from these tragedies to protect future generations. My heart goes out to Kathy’s family for their unimaginable loss. Thoughts?
