I've been reading through all the details surrounding the tragedy in Sardis, and I can't stop thinking about how devastating it must be for Andrew Putnam. Surviving such a brutal attack physically is one thing, but the emotional toll of seeing friends murdered right in front of him must be unimaginable. When you're the lone survivor in such a horrific event, it carries such a heavy burden. I just hope that the community and any available resources can rally around him—not just now, but in the long term. It's going to take so much support for him to find some semblance of peace after this nightmare. Events like this show how important it is for small communities to come together to support the survivors and honor the memories of those lost. Hoping Andrew finds strength in the memories of Jessica, Betty, "Meat," and Rebecca.
