Listening to the accounts from the brave individuals who attempted to intervene during the chaos at the Dennis M. Lynch Arena is truly moving. Those in the crowd that night, who faced unimaginable danger in hopes of saving lives, are real-life heroes in my eyes. It's easy to forget how individuals can step up in such dire situations, and their courage deserves recognition. I can't even begin to imagine the trauma the entire community is experiencing, especially those who witnessed the violence firsthand. My thoughts go out to the victims' families, the survivors, and everyone who found themselves caught up in this nightmare. It's heartbreaking how a moment meant for celebration turned into a tragedy, and I hope those affected can eventually find peace and healing among their community and loved ones.
