I’ve been diving into Pamela June Ray’s case, and something that strikes me is the location she parked for the night. Why would Pamela choose to stop at the Wilhite Apartments complex when the area wasn't familiar to her? Was it just sheer desperation due to the lack of available motel rooms, or is there something more to it? Maybe locals or past guests of Wilhite Apartments can shine some light on whether this was a common practice for travelers back in the early ‘90s. It just seems like such a precarious spot to settle in with her kids if she wasn’t certain it was safe. Anyone familiar with Panama City Beach during that time who can chime in? Maybe there’s a pattern here that hasn’t been fully explored.
