Detectives in Vista sure have their hands full with the Davette Gaunt case. One thing that really stands out to me is the timing of when McDonald moved his new girlfriend into the house they once shared. I mean, how soon after Gaunt disappeared did this happen? Feels unsettling that he didn't even report her missing and yet was quick to make such a significant change in his living situation. It’s almost like he was trying to erase her presence from his life. And it’s really interesting how nobody came forward until months later - would’ve thought neighbors would’ve noticed something off earlier. How different would things be if someone had said something sooner? The dynamics in that household must have been intense before she disappeared. Would love to hear any thoughts on the significance of the move-in or if anyone else has theories about what might have happened leading up to that.
Has anyone else noticed how the timing around Davette's disappearance is incredibly suspicious? I mean, the fact that Christopher McDonald never reported her missing is a massive red flag in itself. If she just took off, wouldn’t you be worried or at least want to file a report? Then, within the same timeframe, he moves a new girlfriend into their shared house. ? It seems like way too much of a coincidence to overlook. I wonder if the new girlfriend was questioned back then or if she was even aware of Davette's situation.
