It’s really hard to grasp the senselessness of what happened in the Flavourz Lounge parking lot. My heart aches for Ahmod Henry's family and friends as they navigate through this unimaginable loss. I’ve been thinking about the role that places like Flavourz Lounge play in our communities. Gathering spots are supposed to be spaces for connection and fun, but in this case, they became the backdrop for tragedy. I wonder if there were enough security measures in place to prevent something like this from escalating. The fact that people in the crowd were out there with firearms is alarming. Maybe this can be an opportunity to push for stricter safety protocols in such venues. It’s a small step, but anything that could prevent future tragedies would be worth it. My thoughts are with those affected as they seek justice and healing.
