I still can't wrap my head around how a noise complaint could lead to such a tragic loss. The thing that really keeps me up at night is thinking about Jersey's incredible courage. Imagine being just 17, faced with something so shocking, and still having the courage to try and protect her mom. In that awful moment, she showed so much love and bravery. I find myself thinking a lot about her twin sister, too. It must be unbearable to lose half of yourself like that. If there is any silver lining, it's their family's decision to donate their organs, meaning parts of them will continue to live on and offer hope to others. My heart goes out to them. How does a community even start to heal from something like this?
