I've been following the updates on Jeremy D'Juan Gardner's case, and something about Cory Dwain Perry’s background has me thinking. For a guy with a past, being a felon in possession of a firearm isn’t just reckless—it’s a blatant disregard for the community’s safety and for the lives of those around him. How did someone with his history get access to a weapon? It makes me wonder whether stricter monitoring or intervention strategies could prevent similar incidents in the future. My heart goes out to Jeremy’s family; this shouldn’t have happened. It's crucial we consider all angles to not only seek justice for Jeremy but also to prevent another family from experiencing such a loss.
