The atmosphere at the Bite of Seattle should have been vibrant and filled with laughter, but the tragic series of events on July 26 will linger in our hearts for a long time. My thoughts go out to Ashley Whitehead's family, especially her daughter who was with her during those last moments. It's beyond comprehension to think that a joyous day ended in such devastation. One thing that sparked my curiosity is how these ghost guns keep ending up at crime scenes. The fact that they found one at the festival is deeply concerning. How are these untraceable firearms even making it into the hands of shooters like this? It seems like they're popping up more often in gang-related violence, and it's terrifying to think about the potential for future incidents if nothing changes. Has anyone else heard of legislative measures being considered in other states to tackle this issue? I hope this tragedy can be a catalyst for some much-needed change in this area. Stay safe, everyone.
