Hey everyone, I’ve been following this case in Port St. Lucie, and I just can’t stop thinking about Elizabeth Ortega’s role at the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. It's so tough to hear about someone who dedicated her life to helping others being taken from us like this. Her colleagues have been saying such wonderful things about her professionalism and kindness—what a huge loss to the community. It's especially tragic because she was probably one of those people who made a real difference in the lives of others daily, both at work and at home. It’s hard to comprehend how someone so involved in protecting and serving her community could fall victim to such senseless violence. I really hope the son finds the support he needs. It’s unimaginable to be caught in such a situation, and he’s going to need all the strength and love from both friends and family. If any of you have thoughts on how community support could be extended to someone in this situation, I’d love to hear your ideas. Sharing a little extra empathy seems crucial right now.
