While reading about the tragic events in Piedmont, my thoughts keep drifting to the impact this must have on the community and those close to Lisa Marie Ouzts. It’s incredibly difficult to process how someone can seem fine one minute and then commit such a violent act the next. I can’t help but think about the friends and neighbors of Lisa who might have seen her regularly or shared moments with her. How do they ever find peace or understanding in such a situation? These neighborhood tragedies stay with people, lingering in memory and triggering a cascade of what-ifs and why-didn’ts. It’s a somber reminder of how life can change instantly, and why it’s so important to create supportive networks in our communities. If anyone from Greenville County or around the area has experience with this kind of situation, I’m sure sharing advice on coping and healing could be helpful for those directly touched. Sending virtual hugs and strength to everyone involved.
