I’ve been following Matthew Hawkins' case and can't stop thinking about the impact his murder had on his kids and the future of his businesses. This senseless tragedy didn’t just take away a beloved family man; it also left his children without a father figure and forced them into a world of uncertainty. Matthew seemed like he was deeply invested in both his family and the Charlotte community, which makes his loss all the more painful.
It's so unsettling that this happened in a neighborhood that Matthew was actively trying to improve. His Subway restaurant and properties surely provided stability and opportunity to many, and it hurts to think about how his absence might affect those left behind. I truly hope his children are surrounded by support and love. They deserve peace and justice for their father as much as anyone.

Does anyone else find it chilling how quickly a community can transform on the outside, yet still harbor such dangers beneath the surface?
