Hey everyone, I've been following the case of David Heath Smith's tragic death, and something that's really been on my mind is the community's reaction over in Lawndale. It's clear that people are really shaken up by the events on Boyles Road. It seems like the kind of place where folks know each other and look out for one another, so this must feel like a heavy blow. It's hard to wrap my head around how an 18-year-old, Canyun Castillo, got involved in something like this—especially in a community where you'd think people would rally around to protect the young from stepping into such dark paths. I feel for Smith's family and friends who are left with all these unanswered questions. It must be extremely difficult for them, especially with no clear motive known yet. Also, does anyone have more info on whether there was any prior connection between Smith and Castillo? Without knowing that, it's tough to get a grasp on how this all came to be. I really hope more details come to light soon. Anyone in the area has my deepest sympathy—this is a heavy thing to bear so close to home. Let's hope the investigation uncovers the full story sooner rather than later. Stay safe, everyone.
