I’ve been reading everything I can find on Daremiah Banks’s case, and my heart goes out to her family and friends. I can't imagine the trauma they're going through right now. It’s chilling to think about how random and senseless violence can shatter lives in an instant. What really caught my attention was the involvement of scooters - they’re such a common sight in D.C., and to think that something as simple as hanging out with friends could turn into a tragedy is really unsettling. I used to live not far from Potomac Avenue, and the neighborhood is typically quiet, especially at that hour. I can’t shake the thought of that bullet hitting the neighbor’s window - it’s a scary reminder of how many more lives could have been impacted that morning. Hopefully, with more people coming forward, the community can help get justice for Daremiah. Anyone else from Southeast D.C. noticing anything unusual in the weeks leading up to this?
