I’ve been digging around trying to understand more about Rena Mae Rincones' case. Something that really puzzles me is the nine-month delay in reporting her missing. I get it; different families have different dynamics, but nine months seems like a long time, especially since she had a young daughter. Was there maybe a lack of communication or some other fears that prevented them from going to the authorities sooner? Was it common back then not to report right away, or were there specific circumstances? It makes me wonder about the relationship dynamics Rena had with those close to her. Anyone with insight into why a family might delay a report like this?

Has anyone looked into why there was such a long delay in reporting Rena Mae Rincones missing? It just seems so unusual that there was a nine-month gap before anything was filed with the authorities. I'm curious whether there was some family issue or perhaps they thought she had gone off on her own and would come back eventually. It makes you wonder if that delay led to losing valuable evidence or witness accounts. I know it's a small community, but someone must have seen or heard something around that time. Maybe if more people who were in Falfurrias or Premont back then could share what they remember from the summer of '94, it might help generate new leads. Thoughts?

I find it really strange how Rena's disappearance wasn't reported for nine months. That's such a long time! Does anyone know if there were any reasons given for this delay? I mean, it's unusual for someone to be missing for that long without anyone notifying the authorities, especially given she had a young daughter. Was there any suspicion or fear of repercussions at play? Maybe someone thought she left voluntarily at first? I'm curious if there have been any discussions around why her family or friends waited so long to file a report. Seems like this could have been a crucial period for gathering leads. Anyone have insights or similar cases where reporting delays were explained?
