Has anyone else been struck by how Edward Wilson's death was initially dismissed as just a random incident? It's chilling to think about Donald Harvey's method in using something as mundane as Pepto-Bismol to carry out his crimes. It's as if Harvey knew how to manipulate everyday trust to execute his horrific plans. As much as we discuss the chilling nature of his hospital murders, we can’t overlook how he brought that same menace into the community where he lived. The fact that this could happen to a neighbor—someone who wasn't sick or hospitalized—makes it even more terrifying. My heart goes out to Wilson’s family and friends who must have felt blindsided, not just by their loss, but also by the revelations that came two years later. It’s terrifying how concealed these acts were, only unfolding piece by piece with further investigation. The fear and violation that Harvey brought to his community are unimaginable. How did the neighborhood cope with the thought that they lived near such a dangerous individual for so long?
