I was reading through the details of the tragic Carr murders, and one thing that really struck me was the aftermath when Ellen Carr returned home. I can't even begin to imagine the shock and devastating grief she must have felt upon discovering what had happened to her husband and daughter. To come home after a long nursing shift, expecting to see your family, and instead finding a scene of such unimaginable horror is beyond words. It’s such a haunting and tragic circumstance that no one should ever have to endure. My heart goes out to Ellen and the rest of Amanda’s family, who have had to carry this trauma without the closure a trial might have provided. It's a chilling reminder of the randomness of Knowles' violence and the fragility of life.
