Does anyone else find the story of Suzanne Bridget Farris particularly haunting because it reminds them of the vulnerability of seemingly safe spaces? As someone who cherished her ambitions and was loved by those around her, Suzanne should have been spending that night engrossed in thoughts of her upcoming wedding or planning her future in pediatric nursing. Instead, she walked into a nightmare that should never have been part of her story. It makes you really think about the importance of feeling secure in our homes and how quickly that sense can be shattered by one person's evil actions. Knowing that she was someone who enjoyed making her own clothes and was anticipating a fruitful career makes it all the more tragic. It's heart-wrenching to consider Suzanne's potential and all the lives she would have touched had her destiny not been so cruelly altered that night. My heart aches for her family, fiancé, and friends who had to endure such a devastating loss.
