Has anyone else been following the police's use of technology in this case, particularly the ShotSpotter system? I'm really intrigued by how these systems work and how effective they are in practice. It seems like it was crucial in getting officers to the scene quickly in Diana Tirado’s case. I can’t imagine the chaos there must have been that evening and how terrifying it was for the people around, especially the young girl who had to witness the whole thing. I feel for her so much—being so young and experiencing something so traumatic. I hope she’s getting the support she needs. I’d love to hear more about how often ShotSpotter and similar systems are used effectively in other cities and cases too. Do communities tend to feel safer with this technology, or are there ongoing concerns about privacy or other issues? Clearly, timing was a critical factor in responding to this tragic situation, but I'm curious if there are broader pros and cons.
