I've been following the tragic case of Briuna Hartry and Jajuan Taylor, and my heart aches for their families. One thing that's been on my mind is the lack of support systems in place for individuals like Jajuan who clearly needed help. It's unsettling to think about how many warning signs there were regarding his mental state in the days leading up to the incident. The fact that his family tried reaching out to hospitals and law enforcement but couldn't get him the help he needed is incredibly distressing. It makes me wonder how we as a society can better address mental health crises to prevent tragedies like this in the future. My thoughts are with Briuna's family, who lost not only her but the promise of a new life, and with Jajuan's family, who are undoubtedly struggling to reconcile his actions with the person they knew and loved.
