I've been following the tragic events in Montgomery with a heavy heart. While much of the focus has been on the investigation itself, I've been thinking a lot about the impact this has had on the community. The loss of young lives like Sa'Vion Gilchrist and Demarion Calhoun is a terrible reminder of the violence that can strike so unexpectedly. The fact that this happened in a place that many people consider a regular part of their daily lives makes it all the more shocking. Woodmere Raceway and the surrounding areas are places people pass through without a second thought, and now this event has cast a long shadow over these familiar locations. I can't imagine what it must feel like for those who live nearby, knowing something so terrible unfolded in their neighborhood. It’s important for the community to come together in times like these, not only to support the victims' families but also to stand united against such senseless violence. If anyone has more information, I urge you to reach out to the authorities. Our thoughts and prayers are with the loved ones of Sa'Vion and Demarion during this incredibly difficult time.
