I didn't know Elizabeth personally, but as a fellow resident of the Salinas Valley, you couldn't help but admire her vibrant presence in the community. It's devastating to think about how she was taken from her two young boys and the students who looked up to her as a role model. At the heart of this tragedy, I'm struggling to understand how someone so committed to family and cultural enrichment could have been caught up in such senseless violence. With the cameras around town, I'm cautiously optimistic the police will find some definitive leads soon. However, given the weeks that have passed with no arrests, I can only imagine the frustration and anguish her family must be feeling. I sincerely hope that more witnesses come forward, not just for the investigation's sake, but to show support for the community Elizabeth loved so much. She deserves justice, and her boys deserve answers about their wonderful mother. Keeping her family in my thoughts as they navigate these difficult times.
