I’ve been following the unfolding details of Michael Alvarez Jr.'s tragic death, and I can't help but think about the role of the bystanders in situations like these. There's so much focus on the individuals directly involved, but what about witnesses or those indirectly connected, like the driver? According to reports, the driver suspected something was off but still went along with the plan. It’s haunting to think about how a moment of hesitation or the decision to step away could potentially change the outcome in such volatile scenarios. My heart goes out to Michael's family. No one should have to go through this kind of loss, especially knowing that it could’ve been avoided with different choices by those present. It makes me wonder how we can better equip young people to recognize and act upon their instincts to prevent violence. Does anyone think there's more that could be done to educate teens on navigating these kinds of risky situations?
