Hey everyone, I've been reflecting on the Doughty case, and I keep thinking about the neighbors on Aster Avenue who must be processing this too. It must be incredibly shocking for them to realize such a tragedy unfolded right next door. Living in a community where everyone likely knows each other, it's hard to imagine the impact this must be having on them. I wonder if there were any signs or signals that something was amiss, or if this came as a complete surprise to everyone around them. For anyone who knew Lari and John personally, I can't even begin to fathom what they're feeling right now. Having elderly neighbors myself, I've realized how much they often become like extended family; sharing a wave, a chat, or even a cup of tea over the fence. It's so important to stay connected, especially as people age. It's heartbreaking to reconcile such a peaceful setting with the despair that led to this. Sending love and strength to those dealing with the aftermath, and hoping the investigation brings more clarity to everyone affected.
