Hey everyone, I recently read about a case from 1997 involving Harry Stanley March Jr., who went missing while mushroom hunting near Sultan Basin Road in Sultan, WA. What's interesting is that Harry was an experienced mushroom picker and visited that area frequently. My question is, how common is it for experienced individuals to get lost in areas they’re familiar with? Could it be possible that being too comfortable in a known terrain leads to some oversight or lapse in judgment? Given Harry's lack of medication and how unprepared he was for an overnight stay, it’s just baffling to think what might have happened. Anyone else have thoughts on how familiarity with an area could lead to unexpected situations like this? I'm really hoping for some insight here. Thanks!
