I've been diving deep into Beth Ann Ricketts's case and something's been bugging me about that phone call her boyfriend received on December 24. If the call really was from Beth, how come it never happened again? No follow-up calls, no texts when that technology became available later, nothing. It makes me wonder whether someone else could have made the call to divert suspicion. The timing of the call—right before Christmas—strikes me as odd too. It could have been someone trying to give the impression that Beth decided to leave her life voluntarily amidst the holiday chaos. Has anyone else thought about this aspect? Especially since the person she supposedly called was someone who hadn't been forthcoming with the investigation. It just doesn’t sit right with me.
