Hey everyone,
I've been digging into the details of John Anthony Perez and Raul Diaz's disappearance, and something caught my attention. Has anyone else looked into the weather reports from that day? I read somewhere that the conditions were particularly nasty, with sudden storms popping up unexpectedly. I'm wondering if anyone has more detailed info on that storm, or if there were any other reported incidents in the area around the same time.
It's so puzzling that neither the boat nor any debris were found, considering how advanced search efforts are these days. Could it be possible that those rough seas might have pulled them far off the expected course? Or maybe the current pushed them towards an area that wasn’t part of the search grid?
If anyone has theories about sea currents around that part of the Atlantic or knows where to find historical weather data, I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Stay safe,

Has anyone else been curious about the two boats involved in the John Perez case? I’ve been thinking about how they managed to lose contact with each other. Especially considering they were traveling in somewhat close proximity. I know the seas were rough that day, but wouldn't they have had some kind of radio communication to stay in touch? Or maybe there were issues with the equipment that no one’s talking about? It seems odd for two experienced groups to lose one boat completely without any further communication or a distress signal. Could it have been a sudden, unavoidable incident, or is it possible that something else happened that we just don’t know about? Would love to hear some thoughts or if anyone has info on boating communications from that time.
Has anyone considered the potential impact of ocean currents where John Perez and Raul Diaz went missing? I came across a couple of reports about how unpredictable the currents can be in that area, especially when mixed with rough seas. If their boat got swept far off course, it's possible the search areas might have missed it entirely. Also, I've read that debris from vessels can sometimes take years to wash ashore, if at all. I'm not sure if their boat would show similar signs, but it might be another angle to think about. Are there any updates or new theories about what could have happened that day? It's been so long, but cases like these definitely deserve fresh eyes and continued attention.
