I can’t stop thinking about how Ms. Gee always stepped up to help others. A friend of mine lived in her building and said that when tensions rose, she was the first to try to calm everyone down. Her approach wasn’t about being stern or confrontational, but rather about understanding and compassion. Maybe it was because she shared so much love with everyone around her, but it’s devastating to think that such a kind soul could be lost in such a violent manner. I’ve been trying to make sense of the arrests—especially with Jaleel and Cornelius Huggins being involved. It’s hard to process when family ties are entangled in something so tragic, and I can’t imagine the pain and confusion her brother Jonah is facing right now. I hope that this community can come together to support him and each other through this trying time. It’s a cruel reminder of how gun violence disrupts lives and families. I genuinely hope justice is served, not just for the closure it might bring, but as a step towards preventing this senseless violence in the future. Anyone else have thoughts about how this affects community dynamics?
