Elijah-King's tragic death has left a deep impact on everyone involved, and my heart goes out to both his family and the family of the young suspect. It’s unsettling to think about the reality of such incidents, and how swiftly life can change in a matter of moments. I hope that as the legal process unfolds, there will be a deep understanding of the circumstances that led to this devastating event so that some closure might eventually be found. I also believe these discussions emphasize the need for more education and control around firearm access, especially for teenagers and young children. Each decision made in and around these situations seems to open so many what-ifs, and I hope we can learn from them to prevent future scenarios.
