I have been thinking a lot about the role of mental health in Norah's tragic situation. It's just so unbelievably sad to think this could have possibly been prevented if proper support and intervention were available. Heather's struggle with mental illness makes me wonder if there were any warning signs that might have been missed or dismissed over the years. I find myself reflecting on whether there were moments when Heather sought help or if she felt like there was no way out. It's sadly not uncommon for people suffering from severe mental illness to feel trapped, and sometimes families don't know how to navigate the system to get the help that's needed. It's not about pointing fingers or blaming anyone, but it's crucial to understand how mental health is handled in our communities so we can hopefully prevent something like this from happening again. My thoughts are with Norah’s family and friends during this unimaginably difficult time. If anyone has insights or resources on mental health support in our area, it could really help others who might be struggling in silence.
