I've been following Ruijuan Guo's case closely, and I can't stop thinking about how truly senseless this crime was. She was just leaving a concert with her fiancé and a friend, enjoying what should have been a lovely night out. It's devastating to think about how quickly that moment turned tragic because of someone else's reckless actions. Guo dedicated her life to teaching and shaping young minds at Kensington Elementary School. Her students must have adored her, and I can't even begin to imagine the impact her loss has had on them, not to mention her colleagues and loved ones. I keep wondering about the trauma her fiancé and friend are dealing with after witnessing such a horrific, unprovoked attack. Justice feels like such a distant concept in cases like these, but I hope that the arrests made in connection to this crime bring some measure of peace to those who were close to Ruijuan. No one should have to endure such pain and loss, especially over something as trivial as a wallet. Keeping Ruijuan's family and friends in my thoughts.
