I came across the case of Richard Duane Dake recently, and something that caught my attention was the complete lack of information about his last known whereabouts. He was last seen at 3:30 PM on April 20, 1999, just outside Mountain Grove, but where exactly? Was it near a specific place or a general area? Sometimes these small details can trigger a memory in someone who might have seen something out of the ordinary. I wonder if there's any CCTV from nearby businesses or traffic cameras from back then that might have captured incidental footage. It might be a long shot, given the time that’s passed, but even establishing a greater context of the area could be insightful. If anyone has more details about the exact location he was spotted, it might be helpful to piece things together.

I’ve been following Richard Duane Dake’s case for a while, and something that’s always intrigued me is the complete absence of any personal belongings discovered afterwards. Usually, in cases like these, you might hear about a wallet, keys, or even a vehicle being found, but there’s been nothing like that mentioned for Rick. It makes me wonder if someone deliberately took things to avoid leaving traces or if they went missing with him. Also, does anyone know if a thorough search of his last known location was conducted back then? With technology like drones today, it’d be interesting to see if they could find anything new. Thoughts?
