I've been following this devastating case, and I keep thinking about the bravery it must have taken for Lila to accompany Jadence in trying to leave such a dangerous situation. It's a chilling reminder of the risks that come with trying to support someone you care about in getting out of a toxic relationship. The fact that Lila was a young mother makes this even more tragic—her baby girl now has to grow up without her mom. I can't imagine the pain her family must be feeling, not just losing Lila but knowing she was trying to do the right thing. It's truly gut-wrenching. I hope more awareness can come from tragedies like this, and that more people are inspired to support efforts to prevent domestic violence. My thoughts are with the families of both Lila and Jadence as they navigate this unimaginable loss.
