Anyone else find it odd that David L. Sumner was last seen on January 3, 2000, but there's so little information out there about his activities in the days leading up to his disappearance? He wasn't originally from Texas, so I'm wondering if he had a solid support network down there or if he was still finding his footing. Considering his learning disability and eyesight issues, I imagine having a community would have been really important. Did he have any close friends or colleagues in Katy who might have more insight into his last known movements? It feels like those small details can sometimes lead to something bigger in these cases. If you were around Katy back in 2000 and remember anything unusual, it might be worth reaching out to authorities.

Does anyone else find it odd that David L. Sumner reached out to his dad right before he vanished? I can't help but wonder what they talked about. Maybe it was just a routine call, but you'd think if there was something significant, it would've come up in the investigation by now. There's not much info out regarding his circle of friends or whereabouts on that day. It's like he just disappeared into thin air. If anyone in the Katy area remembers anything from January 3, 2000, even the smallest detail could be critical in this case. I’m holding onto hope for some break in the case that could bring clarity to what happened to him.
