David L. Sumner, 25, was last seen on January 3, 2000, in Katy, Texas. Originally from New York, Sumner had moved to Texas in mid-1999. On the day of his disappearance, he contacted his father, which was the last time anyone heard from him. Sumner, who suffers from a learning disability and is very nearsighted, wore eyeglasses and had previously fractured his arm.
