I can't stop thinking about the impact this case has had on Betty's family, especially her brother, Clyde. His determination to keep fighting for answers for over two decades is truly moving. I can't imagine how difficult it must be for him, year after year, having to live with the unanswered questions about his sister's death. It's like he's never been able to find peace, constantly living in a shadow of what happened that day in 1996. I wonder, with the renewed efforts in 2008, what was it that finally got the authorities to take another look? Was it Clyde’s perseverance and his public appeals? It really makes you think about how far some people have to go just to get the justice system to pay attention. My heart goes out to Clyde and Betty's whole family. It’s hard enough losing a loved one, but tragic when the truth remains elusive for so long. Here's hoping that, someday, the right piece of information comes to light, and they finally get the closure they deserve.
