I’ve been thinking a lot about how unsettling it must be for the locals, especially those living near Bee Creek Park, having to grapple with both the fear and confusion after what happened to Dustin King Jr. It’s a place meant for family outings and baseball games – not a crime scene. My heart goes out to everyone who knew Dustin or frequents that area regularly. Does anyone have information on what the security situation is like there? I've heard they started canvassing the apartment complexes nearby for footage. I hope it brings some leads soon. It’s times like this you wish more places had better surveillance, not just for catching people afterward but maybe even deterring these horrible acts in the first place. I can't help but think about how important community vigilance is in solving crimes like this. If you were visiting the park or live nearby, please consider checking any security cameras or dash cams you might have. Anything could help.
