It's really saddening how the system failed Jessica Henderson. I keep thinking about the GPS tracking device that was found on her car. It's just terrifying to imagine someone you know, someone you once trusted, crossing those boundaries and using technology to stalk you. How did Abdul Jabbar Jackson think he could get away with that? It just hits me so hard that even after reporting these threats, Jessica wasn't given the protection she deserved. This isn't just a case of a system that collapsed; it's personal. It's about people who should have been safe but weren't. My heart goes out to Jessica’s friends and family who have to live with the knowledge that more could have been done to protect her. I hope that discussions around this will lead to better support for those experiencing similar threats in the future.
