Hey everyone,
I've been following the tragic case of Quahmir Cruz, and one aspect that really stands out to me is his role as a mentor at the Van Dyke Community Center. I've read that Quahmir was actively helping guide younger kids in the neighborhood, providing them with support and positive role models. It’s incredibly inspiring to see someone so young dedicating their time and energy to uplift others, especially in a place that can be challenging for many.
It must be unimaginably difficult for those kids to process the loss of someone who was such a positive force in their lives. I can only hope that his legacy inspires others in the community to continue the work he started. It really underlines the importance of community programs and mentorship, and how even one person's efforts can have such wide-reaching impacts.
Does anyone know if there are efforts to keep his mentorship programs going? I feel like ensuring that his vision continues would be a meaningful way to honor his memory.
Stay safe, everyone.
